Johann Fanzoj - since 1790

The beginning of a gun making process starts with a personal decision of a costumer, who decides among different types of models and calibers in the wide range of hunting weapons. With a rich collection of hunting firearms, coupled with extensive hunting experience, the house of Johann Fanzoj is the right place for an advice.

The gun making process continues with high precission design, where all wishes and demands from a costumer are taken into account, and where the weapon gets its first shape on paper. Afterwards the weapon is brought from paper to real design process, and according to centuries old methods, the gun barrels are handmade from a single piece.

The main part of the process starts: mounting different parts and external design of the weapon. Decades of experience allows the house of Johann Fanzoj to reach the highest functionality. Together with our costumers we select a valuable, centuries old wood from nut tree roots, which is then used for the gun handle - which is also custom made.

Handle is like a dress of a gun, that contributes a lot to the overall appearance of the weapon. A flawless finish of the handle is a result from a carefuly guarded secret of choosing the right oils and time costly techniques of chiseling. It gives the wood a perfect shine and puts great emphasis on every ornament detail.

Various techniques of design, from glorious relief, to perfect burbon carvings,
including with a personal motive of choice, allow unexchangable uniqueness and accentuates the individuality of the costumer.

After successful testing in accordance with rigorous regulations of Austrian office of bombardment in Ferlach, the weapon is tested again - intensely. Afterwards it is professionaly prepared for any possible application in hunting, and completed with optics and handmade case and eventual additional equipment.
